We have also enlisted a third party company, Pingdom, to monitor our uptime. They use 17 different servers located around the globe to check our servers once every 5 minutes. Here's how it works: should our uptime fall below 99.9% in a given month, a service credit will be issued for your account for the duration of time the service was unavailable. Keep in mind that this guarantee doesn't apply if the outage is caused as a result of user operation of the VPS. That is, if you somehow cause the VPS to malfunction or if you wipe the VPS, sorry - we can't give you an outage credit. Anything else that is beyond your control, such as a network or physical server problem, will be covered under the guarantee. The one exception to this rule is server maintenance: we may need to reboot the server for an upgrade sometimes. Simple as that.
